Under Construction Empowerment Services publishing offers a more non-traditional, personalized publishing model. We work in partnership with each author to create a publishing package which fits their needs, desires, and budget. To align with the mission of Under Construction Empowerment Services, the genres accepted include, but are not limited to, books that are in line with motivating, encouraging, and offering self help for individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, religions, and beliefs. Publishing is available to individuals whose book are not aligned with the topics above, but will not accept books that contain obscene or explicit material, unnecessary profanity, or any material that may offend or discredit a certain group religion or belief.
child mentoring
Under Construction services created the Calling All Kids Mentoring Program in 2011, which matches a child one-on-one with a well-trained mentor for up to one year. Our staff works hard to provide mentors with training, support and encouragement to help foster a meaningful mentoring friendship. Mentors come from all adult age groups and all walks of life, but are united by their desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. Some of our mentors include business owners, retired individuals, college students and others.
Calling All Kids Mentoring Program outings range from a visit to an art museum to a stroll on a college campus to simply playing Frisbee in a park. Through connection with a trusted adult and exposure to activities, a child can develop a better vision for his or her future beyond the limited horizons that hold back far too many children.
While the focus of the volunteer mentors is solely on the children they mentor, our Calling All Kids Mentoring program provides the families of children in the program with additional support as well. Whether it’s by helping a family to find affordable furniture, helping a mom complete a school application, or providing a shoulder to cry on, our staff is there to support our young people’s families. We are here to help; Calling All Kids offers services to girls and boys from ages 6 through 17, with mentors in one-to-one relationships.
life skills classes
Available for children and adults, life skills classes are educational classes that are meant to help you learn and grow as a person. Whether your goal is to learn something new or just brush up on an old skill, our classes provide just what you need to make improvements. From independent living to drop out prevention to anger management and much more, life skills lessons engage those involved and get the message through. What to watch for after the lessons? A new sense of well being, along with engaged, motivated, and positive attitudes. Our lessons incorporate creative games, critical thinking, and discussion periods, which provide a dynamic learning environment for all. In these sessions students will work in small groups to learn the many valuable life lessons that we have to offer.
anger management counseling
The goal of Anger Management Counseling at Under Construction Empowerment Services is not to eliminate anger from one’s life, but rather transform it from an unhealthy, unconscious and automatic reaction, to a place of empowerment; where the individual can utilize their anger in a healthy, productive and conscious way.
Motivational

Under Construction Empowerment Services specializes in speaking to young adolescents, women, and at-risk youth. We're fully invested in inspiring young people to achieve their dreams no matter their circumstances. Our purpose is to empower young people and women to achieve their goals, but also to give them the confidence they need to aspire to greater goals. Through our own life stories, we strive to show others that it is possible to overcome any obstacle they may encounter in life. With our own spin on motivational speaking and workshops, we combine humor and inspirational messages to motivate youth and women to change their lives and their destinies.
